[Android] Update on the Service Outage and Expected Restoration
Due to a system issue that occured on July 17, 2026, users are still unable to access the Japanese language learning app “Challenge with Erin! – Japanese Language Test –” on Android devices as of July 28, 2026.
We are aiming to restore the service in early August. Once the service has been restored, we will announce it on our website and social media channels.
We would like to express our sincere apologies for the considerable inconvenience and disruption caused to our users.
[Android] Service Currently Unavailable Due to a System Issue
As of July 17, 2026, the Japanese language learning app “Challenge with Erin! –Japanese Language Test–” is experiencing an issue and is currently unavailable on Android devices.
We are investigating the cause of the issue and working to restore the service as quickly as possible.
We would like to express our sincere apologies for the considerable inconvenience and disruption caused to our users.
[Android] We have fixed the bugs in the camera function and upgraded the Google API-level version on March 21, 2025.
Request to change your favorite registration due to the end of the redirection of the old website "Challenge with Erin! –Japanese Language Test–."
Redirection from the old website（URL：https://app.erin.ne.jp/en/） to this website （URL：https://www.apperin.jpf.go.jp/en/）will end on March 24, 2025.
If you have bookmarked or "favorited" the old website, please change the URL to the current website.
The application will be suspended from April 15-16, 2024, in order to conduct a version upgrade of the application on April 17, 2024.
Please be sure to upgrade your app after the version upgrade.
When upgrading the app, please upgrade without uninstalling the current app.
If you are using the app offline, please save your points by April 14, 2024.
Please note that points earned during use during April 15-16, 2024, may become invalid.
A version upgrade of the "Challenge with Erin: Japanese-Language Test" Japanese-language learning application is scheduled for early April 2024.
Details will be announced in late March.
